Quad Squad is staying together!!

okay yall, sorry im being lazy but this probably wont be a good email because i dont have a lot of time today haha!

so the #quadsquad is staying together for another transfer! Elder Wilcox is being transferred so we are kind of scared to get a new zone leader..eeeeeek!

So Christmas was so horrible that it was amazing...im never going to have this crazy Christmas experience ever again! Dinner was just CRAZY! i dont even know...Then we sang in one of our ward choirs which consisted of probably 12 people, mostly men, and we sounded horrible, so me and Sister Farrer got the giggles up on the stand. Then some sisters asked to switch shifts for the Temple Lights so we had to work there on Christmas, which wasn't bad, but we were just salty because we didn't get to chill with the quad squad at all yesterday! but its all good! Christmas on the mission is super fun!

oh so on Christmas Eve, as a zone we went to the church and watched the Grinch...honestly, i have no idea how that got approved because that movie is SO inappropriate! i never noticed until i got my missionary brain! hahaha it was so funny! Then Sister Farrers mom made huge coloring pages for us and we colored them as a zone! we were super surprised the Elders even colored with us! it was fun!

This week the WHOLE mission got to go to the temple! we took a mission pic in front of it so hopefully we get those pics soon so i can send it to yall! then of course, our ratchet zone wanted to go to lunch together...so where did we go? the most apostate place ever...B Dubbs... again, you never would know unless you have a missionary brain! but seriously were idiots, we go from the temple to buffalo wild wings...

well, thank all of yall who sent me Christmas presents! it was super fun! yall are all homies!
i love and miss yall!

MERRY CHRISTMAS Y'ALL!!

this letter will probs be short because I literally cant remember anything that happened this week...it just goes by so fast.. but oh my gosh y'all, Sister Gasu is dead! she went home 2 days ago! (shes not actually dead, but she died from the mission). Its just so weird that shes home! for some reason you just think that missionaries never go home, like ever....

I cant believe this transfer is almost over..like what the heck! by the end of this next transfer i will be 6 months old! i feel like i just came out here a month ago! We think our house is going to stay the same and no one will be transferred.
Next transfer Sister Farrer dies so we think Im going to be the one to kill her then the next transfer after that Im going to train. we'll see! we love our zone and we don''t want anyone to get transferred! i have been in this area FOREVER! my whole mission! (4 months lol) Don't you love missionary lingo!  haha

Anyways. So Sister Kilsby and I have been sick, so on Thursday after we sung to this old folk home we took meds and we passed out for 5 hours... like we all thought we would just take like a 30 min nap, but nope, 5 hours... but we were so sick.. . then i was hungry so i ate a whole bag of Doritos ( bc why eat real food?) and made myself sick again...so i just laid back in bed and watched the District haha!   so that was a super productive day lol!

So yeah every once in a while we go this random house with old people in it and sing to them..its actually pretty awkward but its fun. we just bring out little hymn books and just sing haha! The people that take care of them are Filipino and they are so funny and always have cake for us! but we sang all the Christmas songs in the hymn book and then I said any requests? and one of the Filipino dudes said "MARY DID YOU KNOW!!" we were like uhhhh we don't really know the words, so he played it on his phone with the lyrics so he had me hold the phone so we can all see and we just sang this weird version of Mary did you know and he was singing right along with us, and y'all, he was getting into it! He was like dancing and harmonizing and it was the highlight of my week!!

So our mission choir concert was BOMB!   it was so good!!!
I had someone voice record it for me lol! I did pretty good on my narrating part! i didn't mess it up... both times... so that's good lol!
I met a lot of missionaries i didn't even know were in our mission lol. This one elder kept talking to me and i honestly have no idea what he was saying to me. I just remember one time seeing him at one of our choir practices standing in front of the projector and staring into it for like 5 min straight, and i just remember thinking "well that Elder just burnt his eyeballs off, sad".

So we haven't really had lessons because everyone is cancelling because its Christmas time, so hopefully after the holidays we will get going again!

i love and miss y'all! thanks to all my homies who sent me a Christmas card and stuff!

Missionary fail..2 dinners..1 night...its a rough life! HA!!

This week was pretty good! we have been having so much fun and been doing good work!
Our zone is super fun. Our zone leaders are a little salty sometimes but other than that its a party! Elder Matua and Holland are just so funny all the time so that's probably why its fun, and of course us sisters are hilarious. I finally went to zone sports this week! we played chair soccer,..my fav... then the dumb elders made us play scatter ball...that game is sooooo dumb! all you do is chuck a ball at everyone...i won 2 out of 3 games though hahaha.

So missionary fail...so 2 of our wards accidentally overlapped our dinner calendars so some nights we had 2 dinners, so we had to cancel one...well on the 10th we didn't realize we had 2 dinners on that night...so we went to the Santa Rita Christmas dinner, then when we got home i was like OMG! so i hurried and checked our calendars and we had another dinner scheduled for that day! and it was already 9:30...so i text the people and they said "yeah we were wondering if y'all were coming because you didn't show up or call"....we were like wow why didn't they call us?? so now we feel bad..eeeekkkk!

OHHH my goodness! So Ashton (our 8 year old) just MELTS my heart! the last time we taught him we told him to read some of the Book of Mormon and pray to know if it is true. So yesterday we saw him at church and he was SO excited to tell us that he read and prayed, then he said he had a dream that Heavenly Father said yes its true! i seriously was CRYING! he is so awesome! i just want him to be adopted so he can be baptized! he wants it SO bad!

Jim is doing so good! seriously I'm so proud of the members in that ward! they love him so much! they invite him for dinners, Christmas, Thanksgiving, and everything! you can just tell how happy he his! So hes x girlfriend that invited him to church a LONG time ago in high school, her son was 14 year old Joseph Smith in the movie The Restoration, so she knows the producers and stuff, and one of them said that they want to make a movie out of Jims crazy life story! hes So excited!

SO Sister Farrer and I SWORE we witnessed a kidnapping at the Mesa Temple Lights..so we were just chilling minding our own business, then we see this crazy lady come sneak (literally sneak) up on this little boy standing by himself, and she comes up behind him and covers his mouth being SUPER creepy! seriously we were frozen we had no idea what to do or say...and her and her husband left with the kid...so we follow them to see what the heck they are doing and then we talked to them..i don't even know what they were saying, we just felt SO gross about it, so we told one of the hosts and he was not having it..he was like well did they do anything bad? we were like uhhh no? he was like so what do you want me to do? we were like uhhhh i don't know? make sure they didn't just kidnap that kid???? so then he was getting all worked up and stood up and was ohhh yeah i know how to handle these kind of situations! we were like ohhhh boy...he was probably about 70 years old..he was like take me to them! we thought we were going to die because we just tattled on this crazy random couple so we showed him then ran away... then we thought they were out to get us and we kept seeing them so we were running away from these people alllll night!

But on the bright side, we have been getting self referrals from the Temple Lights! ( did you know the Mesa Temple is 1 out 5 Temples in the world that are authorized to do Christmas lights?!) Kenny is one of the self referrals. he has taken some of the lessons before but was pretty flaky. but last night they told us that they are really happy we are their missionaries because we are funny lol! they didn't like the last missionaries they had. But they are awesome! we put him on date for January 21st! we hope he will stick with that! we all had a really good bonding time too haha! we found out that the wife Heidi and her sister Ashley both went to the same Elementary school! they are both my age so we had the same friends and stuff! so that was good! now i think they like me even more! But DUDE the lesson we taught them last night sucked! like it was horrible! we forgot to set expectations, and im an IDIOT and forgot to talk about Joseph Smith! hahaha it was SO FUNNY! so we had to somehow bring that back in and it was just a mess! but they didn't even notice because Heavenly Father saw we were doing a horrible job and helped us out and made them feel the spirit haha!

life has been good! its been fun!

Mission Pride!!

so you know you have mission pride when you cry thinking of being called to a different mission. whenever we see Mesa or other missionaries, I'm like omgosh i would die if I was called to the Mesa mission! i know that sounds bad but you really do think your mission is the best mission in the world! i remember when i got my call to the AZ Gilbert mission and i was NOT happy about it! now i cant even imagine serving in another mission! I have so much Gilbert AZ pride its not even funny.

Guys, i turned 4 on the 3rd. that is SO crazy! by next transfer ill be 6 because next transfer has 2 months in it...and that means ill have 12 months left...that's so scary haha!

so basically our whole zone is sick so that's fun. i've been sick for like 5 days now but its all good. Sister Buchholzer was a homie and gave me Tylenol pm and that stuff knocks me out! the first night i took it i didn't hear any of our alarms and Sister Farrer had to wake me up haha!

Life has been really fun lately! us and the other sisters in our house have separation anxiety haha its so funny! This transfer we have just had a lot of service things and have been together 24/7 so its weird to be away from them! ut yeah we have so much fun! Sister Farrer and i just laugh so much its ridiculous. like sometimes when were contacting, before we get out of the car we are crying because we are laughing at the most dumbest things! or when were on our bikes its scary because im crying from laughing so i cant see, so i almost always fall off my bike...in a skirt...im a mess. but seriously i really am a mess, the other day we were leaving from Ashtons lesson and one of the other sons who's like 20 was outside and i was saying bye to him and i wasn't paying attention and i ran in to the trashcans, and he just kinda looked at me and i was like welp..this is awkward...haha it was so funny!

we are super excited for Christmas! the week of Christmas will be so fun! on that Monday we have a half p day then the whole mission is going to be together and play games and stuff. then we have Temple lights one of those days. then we get to go to the Gilbert temple as a mission. then for Christmas Eve we get to stay in unless members invite us over and same with Christmas! i'm pumped!

i LOVE teaching Ashton! I'm just so sad hes not adopted because he wants to be baptized so bad! but he loves everything we teach him! then he wanted us to help with his homework so we did, then he was trying to stall. he was like I'm trying to find more things to do with you guys so you can keep hanging out with me! hes just so cute! its sad because he gets really sad when we leave! in a couple days we are teaching him the Plan of Salvation and i just know hes going to LOVE it! I' excited!

well that's it for now. its been fun! i love and miss y'all!

Gods hand in all things

Jims baptism was so awesome! he was just so happy! the only thing now we have to work on with his, is that he needs to pray! he thinks its SO weird to pray out loud! we ask him to pray every time and he just wont do it! we even told him how to pray and what he can say and hes not havin it! we'll get him there!
so funny story...well me and Sister Farrer think its funny! so for exercise in the morning we go walking around the neighborhood. so we were doing the usual walking around telling eachother our dumb dreams and we get to a corner and right when we get there the garbage truck pulls around the corner and we look at each other and scream WE FORGOT TRASH DAY!!!! so we turn around and just bust it trying to run as fast as we can!! and we looked super ghetto because we were in sweats and hoodies with the hood over our heads and were just running! and the truck is right on our tail the whole time! we felt like we were running for ever! we didnt think we walked that far but apparently we did..so we were running for like 5 min straight! and we finally get to our house and the trash dude sits there and waits for us so we can bring out the trash, so obviously he knew thats why we were running...were pretty sure he was laughing at us. it was hilarious.. we told it in funny moments during zone meeting and they didn't appreciate it so i hope y'all do. 😊
okay so our dumb 2017 Chevy Malibu AC doesn't work so on Friday we had to go get it fixed...in Queen Creek... we were there for FOUR HOURS!! we had to be at my last New Missionary Meeting for the whole mission at 1 and we were going to be soooooo late! we were so confused on why it was taking so long..but we figured it out. God needed us to be there at that time! while we were just chillin one of the workers came up to us (hes prob 20 something) and said hey missionaries! and told us hes a convert and hes putting his papers in soon to go on a mission! then he said his friend that works here should talk to us! so he brought him over and he was super interested and we gave him a Book of Mormon and he was so excited! then the kid who is going on a mission soon asked if i was at the Gladys Knight Concert and i said yeah and he was like yeah i think i talked to you there! and i was like ohhh snap you're right! ...his dad was the one that was there and was talking to me forever then made me wait so i can meet his son..which was the kid i was talking to... and all the other missionaries thought he was trying to hook me up with him.. but the weird thing was that when i saw them at Gladys Knight i had a feeling i would see them again...super weird! any ways, moral of the story is that we had a sweet lesson in the middle of Auto Nation...
So teaching Jason (our 9 year old) is SO hard because the other little boy Ashton wants to learn SO bad, but hes a little smarter than Jason in the Gospel so Jason gets so salty and the lessons just suck because Jason doesn't want to do it anymore..But Ashton isn't adopted yet so we cant baptize him. so i asked the dad if we can just teach them separately and just not baptize Ashton until he is adopted. so we are starting that out this week and hopefully the lessons will be better! i LOVE these kids though.seriously they have me heart! they love when we come over and always make us help with their homework haha!
OHHH MY GOSH. i have to have a part in our mission choir concert! i made sure to choose the shortest one haha! i already have it memorized but pray i wont mess it up because i'm not about that life. i have the part before we sing the song "see the star" i think that's what its called..
but here's my part:  "far to the east, others were surprised as well not to hear the angels song but to see a star. never before has this one shone. a King was born and they went to take him gifts and kneel before them there. to Jerusalem they came. not sure exactly where to find the new born babe. they asked if any knew about His birth. But then again they saw the star and found their way." the song is SO beautiful! i'm excited!
we are so excited to be working the Mesa Temple Lights! last Friday night we were there and it was so fun! some dude in a helmet and scratched up face came up to me and started mumbling and it was super awk...so i was like huh? and he was like help me find my light to my bike and i was like sorry bro i cant help yah but ill tell you if someone found it,then he left and was freaking everyone out...then we met a couple and they were super fresh out of their mission and they told us they met on their mission and i didn't mean to do this out loud but i was like "ahhhhhhhhhhh! no that's not supposed to happen!" (because gross! elders and sisters? NO!) then Sister Kilsby told me that's why she loves me haha.

Today before emailing we went to Schnef Farms..it was so fun! we rode roller coasters and they fed us pizza! i have no idea why we went..but it was worth it! i took pics for y'all! the people that own it are LDS so we got in free and it was only open for us and no one else lol!
well i have been having so much fun this transfer! getting lost while on our bikes..and falling off our bikes because we are laughing so hard. omg there is a guy here at the library just laughing his head off...he cant control it..hes just sitting in front of a computer just losing it.its hilarious. its just a bunch of missionaries and him in here! okay but i love and miss y'all!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!

okay guys. is so ridiculous how fun im having this transfer..and its only been like 5 days. My new companion is so funny! and the other sisters that live with us are SO FUN! the very first day of the transfer we were like "Christmas?... YES!" so we decorated the house and put up our Christmas tree. today we are even taking family Christmas pictures. were no joke.

just a heads up, we have A LOT of plans that will probably take up this whole transfer..so you might not get as much letters from me because i actually have homies to talk to and go do things with! but i still will try and write letters!!

guess what! this transfer we basically get to be visitor center missionaries at the Mesa Temple!!! we get to be there while they do the Mesa Temple Lights!!! and it starts the day after Thanksgiving and they said we get to go at least once a week! WE ARE SO PUMPED! its crazy because we are with the other sisters we live with like 24/7 so its weird when we split up because it feels like we are all companions together haha! its so fun!   #quadsquad

so on Saturday we all had to wake up super early and go to Higley High to do service for a thing called Shun the Sun for skin cancer..they were doing a 5k and a 10k and it was SO COLD! it was probably only like 70 degrees..Arizona has turned me into a wimp..but anyways..they were telling us crazy directions and we got lost and we were pretty sure we were out of the mission and we were freakng out, and we got stuck at this little place in i think down town Gilbert..and it looked like a mini Las Vegas strip! so we decided to go in the cute little shops because why not?
it feels like we have been with eachother for years but it has only been 5 days haha its so weird!

Jim is excited to get baptized! Im kind of stressed because im in charge of the phone and brother Underwood our mission leader in the Santa Rita ward is blowing up our phone about his baptism and im like ohhh my goshhhh!!! Im giving a short talk on the Holy Ghost...hopefully ill do good! i ain't sweatin tho...i'm a missionary so i cant do anything wrong right?   hahaha!

i love our areas...people love us and we love them! and the thing is with Sister Farrer is that i feel like i can actually be myself around her so now the members actually hear me talk and be myself and now Im just friends with all the members and its so fun! like all the people i was awkward with, like Bishop Standage, we're homies now. i really feel like our areas are going to be poppin now with potentials and investigators! its pretty exciting! i feel like a real missionary haha! i was talking to sister Anderson and she was telling me this is what it really feels like to be on a mission..fun comps and roomies...I had no idea, because the last couple transfers, that's what I thought my whole mission was going to be like...so Im glad things are better!

well Im just so excited for this transfer! we all want to stay this way for a while! at least one more transfer!

love and miss yall!

TRANSFER CALLS.......

So this week went by SO fast! but I wish y'all could have been a fly on the wall when we got our transfer calls....so a little bit of background...sister Gasu has been in this area for almost 7 or 8 months and this next transfer is her last transfer. Sister Sprouse has been in this area for almost the same amount. I have only been here 3 months, and sister Anderson just got transferred here last transfer. so everybody and their moms prediction was that I was leaving because that would be messed up if Sister Gasu only has like 6 weeks left and had to leave for her last transfer, and that sisters Sprouse and Anderson would stay together... so all the other sisters were texting us telling us about their calls and we were getting super nervous because we didn't get ours yet! so we were freaking out texting the zone leaders, and finally Elder Wilcox called and said "the people leaving are Sister Sprouse and Sister Gasu." we all just kind of sat there with our jaws dropped...then Sister Gasu starts bawling and I just want to puke because that means I have to lead out the area! and I don't even know what the other sisters were doing..but it was kind of funny/sad because sister Gasu was in the middle of brushing her teeth while she was crying! I actually pretty excited to stay because this transfer has Thanksgiving and Christmas together!

So I'm glad Jim came to church yesterday. This was his first time coming...he already has a baptism date, but you cant be baptized if you haven't been to church at least twice... so Sister Gasu was in another ward, and I was in the ward Jim goes to and it was AWESOME because everyone was talking to him and making him feel comfortable. I think everyone was talking to him because the knew he was an investigator...you want to know why they all knew he wan an investigator?! because he came to church in black jeans, those old man white new balance shoes and a bright orange Hawaiian shirt. it was the best thing Iv ever seen! so during the whole sacrament meeting I was helping him figuring out what was going on..he was nervous to take the sacrament but he did good haha! he has this thing where he thinks its SUPER weird that we have people pray out loud...so hes still trying to get used to that! but I think he liked it! The Santa Rita ward is good, but OH my goodness the kids are SO loud there! usually I'm used to it, but for some reason when you are with your investigator you notice everything that might go wrong! so I hope he didn't mind that...

So we are also teaching Jason our 9 year old! he is so excited to be baptized! so we had dinner with them on Wednesday and for the dinner message we just taught him the Plan Of Salvation.....but it didn't go so well because the other kids living there want to be baptized too but they aren't adopted yet like Jason and his sis, so we aren't really allowed to "teach" them...but they participated anyway and Jason was getting super sad because the other boy (ashton) is pretty smart and was answering all the questions. but oh my gosh Ashton has my heart! he is SO adorable!! and after dinner the 2 boys sang us primary songs and I have them recorded! I also have a pic of all of them that ill put on here, but it cant go on facebook or anywhere because Ashton and his sister aren't adopted yet and apparently their mom is trying to find them? I have no idea...anyways, I hope they adopt the other kiddos so they can be baptized too!

so we do this thing that Brother Buchholzer kind of made up called Operation Feed My Sheep every Thursday night and we go out with different people like YW president or primary president or YM president and they choose like 5 people to go and visit who haven't been to church in a while. so we went out with brother Moulten...the first person we went to see is this crazy family...the wife is less active but soooo sweet and funny and her husband has left the church and has been excommunicated... so we went really to go visit the husband...it was pretty interesting. Brother Moulten asked a pretty bold question if he was coming back to the church or not...and the husband just went off! we were being antied! this was my first time! he was going off about how demons did this and that and how our faith was corrupted and how you cant have faith without facts (which doesn't even make sense because having faith means you don't need facts) and he was getting super worked up...like his veins were poppin! and he was saying stuff like ohhhhhhh you do not want to go into this because I know more than you! hahah it was crazy! he said he loves Mormons but not our beliefs. and he has read the Book of Mormon like 30 times... but it was a crazy experience!

welp. I'm excited to see how this transfer will be..i wish I payed more attention to where people live, but lets be honest, everyone who knows me knows I get lost in point

Elder Cornish visited this week....sorry for the late pday

JIM IS GETTING BAPTIZED ON JAYMZ BIRTHDAY! were so excited for him and hes so excited too! honestly when teaching the lessons to him, its not even like we are teaching, we are just reminding him of what he already knows! hes pretty awesome! i might be transferred before he gets baptized though! transfer calls are Sunday night! i REALLY hope i get transferred! i need change SO bad haha!  and this next transfer will be over thanksgiving and Christmas! so i hope it will be fun! i really want to go to Queen Creek or Florence! we'll see!

so we got a new car! the mission only got like 5 new cars and only the best and clean missionaries get a new car! AND WE GOT ONE! its a 2017 Chevy Malibu...its soooo nice! but for some dumb reason we cant figure out the AC...hahah its too high tech for us!! or maybe it just doesn't work i don't know!!

its weird i havent emailed since Halloween! that was a long time ago!! they cut our p day short :(
but us and the Higley zone went to a church and played games and watched Ephraims Rescue! it was pretty good! then we just went home so it was just a weird p day!

So Elder Cornish came to our mission! that's why we didn't have p day on Monday because he was here Monday and Tuesday. honestly, everyone was pretty salty because he messed up our pday but then he had a REALLY good talk and we all felt bad... but he was talking to us about working with members and gaining their trust...like, members may love you, but they still might not trust you to teach their friends or something.. we need to help members realize that missionary work is SO hard without the members willing to help us! it was really good, and his wife is super cute!

on of our super awesome members Sister Anderson in the Meridian Pointe ward made me and Sister Gasu companionship shirts! they are so cute... it says bless this mess...because seriously...bless this mess..but we finally took pictures in them! Sister Gasu wanted to do the ones where we are being super fake and pretending to laugh so we look like we are having fun, but i suck at those haha! but ill put the pictures on the email! and we are both wearing Adidas pants..so we really were twinning!

i cant believe its been 3 months..in another quick 3 months ill have a year left on my mission! thats crazy town to me! i remember when i got here on Aug. 23 and i thought i would NEVER make it to Halloween! and it already passed! then Christmas is coming up so soon too!

well sorry nothing that interesting happened this wee to email about! its been a pretty boring week!
love and miss yall!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

so this week has been crazy with teaching opportunities!!

So our 9 year old that we are teaching is so awesome!! He loves every second of it! we just taught him last Tuesday and hes already on chapter 13! he loves it....
so our other investigator Jim went through something kind of weird...we have been trying to teach him the last 2 weeks but he said hes in a really bad situation and cant see us.. so finally one day he texted us and asked if we could teach him..so when we got there he told us what was going on...so apparently he rented one of rooms out to a lady who was on Crags list..(not sketchy at all right?) so she was crazy and they found out she was schizophrenic...he said he would just sit in his room with a knife because he was pretty sure she would kill him...so the cops were always at his house...but anyways, we taught him the Plan of salvation and he was super confused..he thought we were talking about reincarnation and we were like omggg noooo! haha it was so funny! but he gets it now and he loves it! he said our religion is so fulfilling! its true!!!

okay this is the best and funniest part of the week!!! so the other day we were going to the church to set up for the Halloween party and one of the members said there was some random person in the chapel...so we went in to talk to her, she was just sitting there reading a hymn book...so we introduced ourselves and stuff. and after we kind of talked to her we realized she wasn't all there...but i shared Moroni 10 (Moronis promise) and she was bawling through it! then she wanted to come to church... so before we left we asked if she wanted the lights on or the ac on...and she said well its your church i don't care...so we were like okay! see yah sunday! so we set up a ride for her because she lives far away..then later we got a voicemail from her saying..."hey sisters its me Thressa, so because you asked me if i wanted the lights or ac on, that means you're not a real church...so im not coming anymore..."  we just kind of looked at each other and busted up laughing! it was so funny!!!! so because we were being nice, that means were not a real church!? oh my goshhhhhh people!!!!

you know what the best thing about being a missionary is?
1 when members see you at a food place, they buy your food!
2 you get ALLLLLL the drama! people you don't even know will tell you EVERYTHING!.....i find out some real freaky things from people no one should ever know haha! but i dont know why...i guess when you're a missionary people trust you more, so they tell you everything!
3 watching people grow in the gospel is SO COOL!

Guys..dinner at some peoples homes are SO FUNNY! we were at one members house and i swear i thought someone was going to get shot! first of all, during dinner they had a hedgehog at the table, second of all their trash can is a dumpster in the middle of their kitchen, third of all they were all yelling at eachother across the table. i couldn't even handle it, it was so funny!!!! and then we tried to share a message with them, and you could tell they were trying to be nice and respectful, but they couldn't handle it and it was CRAZY!

thanks for all the support and letters from everyone! transfers are coming up in a couple of weeks so my address might be changing!
i love and miss y'all!

Don't want the Gilbert Gut!!!!!

Soooo i dont know what happened, but this week only felt like 2 days so i dont really have much to talk about!
NONE of our investigators are progressing! 2 of them were at Disneyland so that's okay, but the rest aren't! its so frustrating because there is nothing else to do but go tracting or contact recent converts or less actives! (RCLA) and NO ONE wants to talk to us haha! our area is super small so we just keep seeing the same people or keep doing the same things everyday and its so boring! but were still trying!!

BUT when we do get into a less actives house its a miracle! the other day we JUST got done with dinner and we ate A LOT! then a less active member actually let us in but didn't really want us too...she only let us in because we said we needed to use the bathroom lol. then the daughter asked us if we wanted to eat dinner...we said yes of course so we could stay and talk and hopefully share a message or something! so we just pretended we didn't eat dinner and ate ANOTHER DINNER! i seriously almost died.. but it was good because they opened up to us! so 2nd dinners happen a lot...so when i get home, dont expect anything less than me having a Gilbert Gut! (thats a real thing that happens to missionaries down here haha)

this transfer is going by pretty fast! we get transfer calls in like 20 days! i REALLY want to get transferred because i feel like i'm not doing anything for this area! i just need new change of scenery lol! a lot of people are telling me they think i'm getting transferred... but last time everyone said that and i didn't leave so who knows!?

okay sorry this email sucks but honestly i can't even remember anything that happened! i even wrote down stuff to put on this email, but nothing really happened! there was one thing that happened...we were contacting this less active family and they pulled up right wen we got there, and they were like Oh Sisters! we have been wanting to talk to you!! so they told us one of the kids they adopted wanted to take the lessons and get baptized! hes 9 and he's SO excited! and the dad apparently sells on amazon. he made a sewing kit thing called Sir Stitch or something...so he gave us each one! they are pretty nice!

OH we got to go to the Temple on Thursday! it was awesome! it's SO pretty! so that was the highlight of my week lol!

love and miss yall!

Special Olympics Rocked!!!!

first of all i want to start off with the fact that all these members (the moms) are telling me that i have a white girl butt!!! what the heck!? no i dont!!! haha its so funny! one of the ladies sister Judd (which i found out i saw her son in the mtc, i talked to him in the cafeteria bc he heard i was going to Arizona so he said if you see the crazy people named the Judds thats his family!! but hes in Las Vegas!) she was helping me the other day at the good will trying to find skirts, and she kept pulling out smalls, and i said girl! do you see this booty! i aint fitting into anything small! and she was like what! you have a white girtl but! i was like noooo! and she pointed to her but and said do you see this? this is a black girl booty! im like ommmggg what kind of conversation are we having right now! and then sister Smith came over and was like, oh yeah you definitely have a white girl butt! i was like, "well my whole life is a lie then!"

okay new story.. so there is this family in the santa rita ward and they are the ones who throw things at peoples cars! so we went over to visit with them and they were sitting outside..so they got us a chair and we were talking for a while...they had some people coming over to buy a desk or something from them... so later the dad was like "oh, i should propbably close the garage, i dont know what color these people are who are coming by, and i dont want to offend them with my confederate flag" then i was super confused...either he doesnt know im black, orrrrrr... i dont know! he says A LOT of offensive things and im just like...ummm maybe you shouldnt say those things...haha hes crazy!!

so the other day when we woke up in the morning, no one wanted to exercise so sis gasu sid we should just ride our bikes for 30 min...so we were like yeah! so here we are 4 sister missionaries riding our bikes around  the neighborhood at 6:40 in the morning. we felt like some hoodrats about to do something crazy! honestly i think it was because we were in pants and not skirts hahah!! but we thought we were pretty cool!
okay another story! we were trackting right, and we get to this house and they had some weird stuff... there was a statue of a teddy bear and 2 kids kissing (which honestly thats weird right?) and i see something behind the bear statue...oh its dark outside by the way. and i see something and it seriously looked like a giant piece of dog poop! i was getting scared because i was like oh crap if they answer that huge dog is going to attack me! so i was getting pretty nervous... but then i get a closer look...IT WAS A FLIPPIN SNAKE! literally i was like a foot close to that thing!!! i tried to get a picture of it so yall can see it, because it was dark, in the picture it literally looks like a gnarly piece of dog poop!

okay something crazy happened at a less actives house...so she talks FOREVER and this time her daughter was there and shes exactly like her mom, so we were there for like 3 hours... and we were just talking and all of a sudden it turned into a roast session on Sister Gasu! it was so bad! they went at her for a solid 10 minutes! it was so bad..i wont go into detail, but one of the things they told her was that if she didnt go to therapy and counseling, so would screw up her whole life.. they even made her cry, like no joke it was so bad..one of the things they were calling her out for was that she is a micromanager.. and sis gasu was like "well not that bad" and the lady was like, well lets just ask your companion then and see what she thinks... so now all eyes were on me.. (okay everyone knows sis gaus is kind of a control freak and likes things her way, and thats okay..so i wasnt going to lie) so i could barely get the word out "kind of" and everyone started freaking out and sis gasu was getting pretty mad, I DIDNT EVEN GET TO FINISH! so now i just worked everyone up again..it was just so bad...so that happened...

SPECIAL OLYMPICS WAS SO FUN! we were over aquatics and giving the awards and stuff! so i was sitting at one of the tables and i remember seeing one of the special needs kids, like we made eye contact for maybe 2 seconds then he was gone... then like 30 min later i hear FRIEND!!! FRIEND!!! so i look over and there he was waving his hands around at me, standing behind the fence! he was like COME HERE!!! haha so i went over and then he kind of got shy...(hes Hispanic so he was like speaking half English half Spanish and he was probably 20) so i walk over there and he didnt know what to say so i was like hey how are you!? then he patted me on the head and said "you're very beautiful!" i was like awhh thanks! then he showd me his muscles hahah it was so funny! then he showed me his scar his cat gave him like 20 times! then he kind of followed me around haha!

a lot of the contestants were adults from the age 20 to like 50 lol! were not allowed to hug, but they are huggers! i was walking towards one group and one of the guys saw me and said "HEY YOU!!" and just gave me a HUGE 30 secong hug and all the missionaries were like eeeek! but its okay haha he was kije 45 lol

OMG guess what i found out!!!!! if Jodie Aries wasnt in jail right now she would be in one of the wards im over!!! we pass the house she killed her x boyfriend in all the time!!! its so creepy!!!!!!
oh and soda rush give missionaries 44 oz for 1 dollar!

i love and miss yall! than you to everyone who has been sending me packages and mail!! yall are so awesome! getting mail is fun and helps a lot!

Gladys knight rubbed my back..and we got the cops called on us..What a week!!!

okay i want to start this email out with Gladys Knight! OH MY GOSH! Im pretty sure i cried the whole time!
so we get to the building at 12:30 and start off by putting pens under every chair. we are super sore from doing that by the way...sad huh? but then we chilled for a while until homeboy came and gave us instructions on how to usher. so then at around 4 or 5 something people started getting into line, so we were in charge of giving them water and pamphlets. so we were talking to everyone in line and it was SO fun! they had to wait in line for like an hour so we were there to keep them company! i dont know why but i was on a roll that day(probably because i was so excited) but i was making EVERYONE laugh! it was the funniest thing! im sure i was looking so dumb but it was funny! you had to entertain them so they dont complain to you about the heat and the long line lol!

So, then finally we get in and it was pretty packed in there!  The only seats left were in the back row. it was in the church building so some people were sitting on chairs on the stage. (the choir sat where the pulpit is) so i sad on the last row on the first seat where the walk way was. so we were sitting there and they announced the choir and they all came out the back and walked up to the front and that was cool, BUT they announced Gladys and she came out from the back and i turned around and she was RIGHT THERE i could touch her! and as she walked she kind of bumped into my chair and looked at me and rubbed my back and i was FREAKING OUT! we made eye contact for like 7 seconds solid! then she walked up to the front and i turned around to the people behind me on the stage and my mouth was just open and i said GLADYS KNIGHT JUST TOUCHED ME!!!! and they all laughed at me! i was dying hahaha! then one lady came up and said yeah she just about sat with yah too!

But then we watched the concert and it was SO good! i cried because they were all SO happy! one of the first performances was a super old white guy playing the guitar and belting out this song and he was so happy living his dream! so i cried because he was so happy! im a little baby! then we helped with the second show and got to watch it all over again! but Gladys' hubby got up and talked and he is SO FUNNY! everyone was DYING!  but he bore his testimony and it was so good. i swear the whole building was floating in heaven, it felt like we werent even on earth anymore haha! it was soooo good! im so blessed i got to go! But then this one dude after the show came up and talked to me but it was weird because everyone left. he was the only one there with all the missionaries trying to clean. but he was talking to me and stuff and kind of just lingering and being awkward, but then he left and came back with his son and introduced us and it was suuuuper awkward becuse it felt like he was trying to hook us up and all the missionaries thought that too... so that was awkward. i remember that guy tho bc he came to the front and said uhhh i dont have a ticket, can i just go in? we were like uhhh sure i guess...
we didnt get home till around 12:30...being a missionary and not going to bed at 10:30 is so bad lol. all the missionaries were SO tired and everyone else was super lit! but its okay...actually it wasn't because we still had to wake up at 6:30 the next morning haha! it was worth it tho!
im kind of glad i didn't get transferred form the forgotten promised land...Desert Ridge is a black hole and all the other missionaries forget we even exist. I didnt know that the Gilbert AZ mission is only 3 years old!!

so the other day we were in a neighborhood contacting. we only knocked on 2 doors. they were both less active members but neither of them answer...so we were about to leave and we were on our bikes and the cops pull us over. He told us someone called the police on us because we were too persistent... she thought we were in her house? idk. we were pretty salty that a member called the cops on the missionaries. even the cop laughed and said no one has ever called the cops on missionaries, especially the sisters lol! so that was fun. then a member from that same ward told us she called us out on Facebook! what the heck! it said something like "when you call the police on the missionaries when you thought there was a murderer in your house, oops you should have called first and you were too persistent, they were knocking on my door for ever!)

okay that's so dumb! we literally knocked, no answer, rang the door bell then left. we weren't even there 2 minuets!! so annoying hahah!     it was funny tho!

I forgot to tell yall when i had to teach the law of chastity for the first time to Payton! SO it came to my turn to talk and i basically had to tell him all the things you cant do...and there are 3 things you have to say and its super awkward. BUT i said "you cant do this, this, and this, that's no bueno to Heavenly Father"....my exact words...it just kind of came out of my mouth lol...he was horrified hahaah it was so funny but Im not gonna lie i killed it!

so im not going to lie. Fast Sundays are a STUGGLE when you have 3 wards! we fast from 6:30 to 4:30. so then when we finally get home from church at 4:30 we eat a bunch knowing we have dinner in 30 minutes at a members house...but apparently we dont care. so then we are super full and have to go and eat another full meal! we do this EVERY time and its SO dumb!

so on Tuesday i guess life was tough for me that day. we had to do roll playing and omg i was dying. roll playing is hard for me i dont know why! but i roll played with elder wilcox and it was okay, but then i had to roll play with elder hogge and i had to explain what the Book of Mormon was and what its about and why i love it. yall, for some reason its SO hard for me to explain the Book of Mormon! i know what its is and what its about, but i dont know i just couldn't get my words out and explain it to him, so what do i do instead, cry. noooo! omg why do i cry! so im crying and trying to get my words out and it was so bad! i was over it! i could tell he felt bad, but hes not a man of many words so he just kinda stared at me with a worried look...so that was great hahah! but whatever, that day is over i think im better now haha! its all part of the process i guess!

but later after that Sister Gasu told me she basically had personal revelation that i will LOVE teaching by this transfer if i sacrifice and covenant. I was like oh snap, Heavenly Father had to go to my companion so i can get my answer...i didn't say that tho haha!      So i made some sacrifices and its SO hard! One of them is NO TREATS! how do i like? i dont know! SO NO SENDING CANDY THIS TRANSFER lol!!! but guess what? i kind of love teaching right now! IT WORKS! hahaha
 its awesome!
if anyone has pictures send them to me so i can hang them up! any pictures! family or funny things or quotes or whatever!!! my wall is so plain!!
sorry i only have 1 pic this week. this week was CRAZY! and we always look bad haha!
i love and miss yall!
