craziest week of my whole flippin mission

okay y'all, this has been the craziest week of my whole flippin mission. Its been nonstop.

Tuesday- for Elder Bassetts last district meeting we played hydration pong...with gatorade...and oh my gosh everyone was dying, puking, almost peeing their pants, and everything else you can think of. it was horrible but super fun! I have videos that ill send. I almost threw up, Sister Marbery and Elder Vaupel actually did throw up lol it was super funny. I almost peed my pants bc they said we weren't allowed to go to the bathroom until someone won...y'all know me and my bladder is the size of a freaking peanut, so i almost passed out hahahaha! I won though of course. Then the rest of the day was apostate Tuesday and Sistere Marbery said bye to all her peeps.

Wednesday-TRANSFER DAY! I swear every single time i go to get my new comp i never get to look at the board, like right when i walk in everyone is freaking out and telling me who my comp is lol. So my new comp is Sister Ogawa! she has been out for about a year and she is from Japan! Shes super awesome! So when i looked at the transfer board for temple view, there were only 10 missionaries...i was like whhhhaaaatttt the heck?? i was so confused bc there used to be like 18 of us, and now there's 10. So they moved like half of the zone to Higley... everyone was so mad haha! So Sister Ogawa and I are the only sisters in the zone now. And our zone is pretty weird. They are fun but its just a super weird combination of people... Sister Ogawa is scared of them bc we are all pretty sassy, and they dont have sassy people in japan, so im teaching her how to be sassy so she wont be scared anymore haha! But im super excited because one of my zone leaders is Elder Merritt! he was my first zone leader when i was born in Desert Ridge so thats fun! But Wednesday was crazy bc we don't have a gps and our area is huge bc we have ysa..so i have no clue where we are going. its a miracle we are alive to be honest.

ThursdayThursday was kind of a normal day, we were SUPER busy all day. then we get a random call and it was Sister Gasu!!! (my 1st companion out here)  well i guess i have to call her TraQuelle Gasu now lol. but she wanted to see me because she had something for me, so she wanted to meet Friday lol. I was super freaked out.

Friday- We had weekly planning and Sister Gasu came and we talked for a while and stuff! she seems like shes doing good! she gave me a cute shirt that said Arizona on it! Friday was super busy, then we finally get home to do language study for sister Ogawa at like 8:30 and the APs call us... the last time the APs called me was to take away my car so i was like oh my goshhhhh! But they just asked if we could pick up a mini missionary in the morning. I had no clue where the warner and recor building is..but somehow we got there. #blessings

Saturday- we picked up our mini and got to work! we had a lot of appointments with the bishops and stuff, and just dropping off progress records, so that wasn't too fun for our mini. Then we went to the Akbays! Fevzi is one of my favorite humans ever! hes from Turkey and hes SO FUNNY! But he and his wife are super sad bc their dog snuggles died, but they got another puppy that looks just like snuggles so i call him SJ and Fevzi told me that i have to be SJs godmother because he loves me haha! Then we went tracting in the Azul apartments and i told our mini to guide us to where we needed to go tracting....so we get to building 13 or something and we found a miracle lady!! she told us to come back on tuesday when her husband is home! so we are excited for her!

Sunday- we had to speak in Campo Verde ward and it was super fun! the subject for sacrament meeting was missionary work and we got everyone pumped up! and campo is a struggle bc no one ever talks to us, and no one ever signs up to feed us, and after we talked in church we were like celebrities or something. Everyone and their mom is trying to feed us now and they want us to just come over and talk to them and stuff, so its getting better in that ward lol! Then later in the day some sketchy stuff started happening. So we get this call from these girls and they said they sent us a referral for this guy named Ralph. and we thought they were missionaries so we asked for their names and they said their first names, but they said they were companions... so that was weird.. so we called Ralph and it was so weird...like he sounded freaked out that we were calling him and he sounded creepy, but whatever, so we make an appt with him at 8 that night. So we go to the new member fireside to hear Angela speak and then we went to Ralphs house... so its dark outside and its dark in his house, like it looks like no one is home. and to be honest, sister ogawa and i both had bad feelings about this dude before we knocked on this door, but we didn't tell each other hahaha were so dumb. So we knock on his door and we hear weird noises...then he answers and was being all creepy and invited us in and homeslice starts going in this dudes house and im like uhhhh wait...is anyone else here?? and he was like nope just me, and we were like oh sorry we cant come in if another girls isn't here..and he was trying so hard for us to just come in his house anyways. he was saying we could just come in the front and leave the door open, so we did that and he sat on the couch while we just stood by the front door, and then he was trying to got us to close the door, and he was just being SO creepy! then he started asking weird questions and then he was trying to guess our ages...and he was being hecka creepy about it..this dude is like 40 and i was like welp. we gotta go. thanks. but he apparently wants to learn a lot about the gospel, so we have an appt with him tonight at 7:30...but we are bringing bishop Hixon with us this time haha! Life is scary guys.

Today im going to get glassed because everyone keeps telling me im blind or something...the other day i was driving and i hat a trash can hahahahaha! it was so funny!

TRANSFERS again...

Monday-Super weird night... Sister Marbery had a feeling we needed to go see this investigator in one of our wards, but she said not to come when her husband was at home, but we went anyways and she felt like we needed to grab a plan of salvation pamphlet, and we knocked on her door and no one answered, and we waited for a while, so we texted her and shes in flippin Macedonia or something...so we were like well, maybe we needed to be over here for someone else..so we were sitting in the car...and it was super dark outside and it was kind of creepy...and right after we said that this Asian lady just comes out of no where super close to my side of the car and she scared the crap out of us!!  so we were like SHES THE ONE!! so we went to her house and no one answered..super weird..so we went back to the car and i felt like we needed to knock again, so we did...and when we knocked someone started yelling and this dude looks through the window and was like who is it??  we said the missionaries! and he said ohhhhh the missionaries and he kind of just left..and never came back. so that was awesome!! lol

Tuesday- we basically went tracting all day and met some pretty psycho people. it was great!  We met this one guy and i started just talking to him-- as i was talking he just started laughing and i was like wait whats funny? and he said oh sorry im listening, go on. and it was just super weird... We also met this lady..i think she was from Jamaica? idk dude but i could barely understand her. the only thing i heard her say was that all the old people are going to hell. but then she gave us crackers and ginger ale! My favorite person we met was this lady, and she was sitting outside smoking with her daughter and we start talking to her and she is from Boston and she is HILARIOUS! They wouldn't tell us their name though haha, but she asked if we had any literature so we gave her a Book of Mormon and a restoration pamphlet. We explained what the Book Of Mormon is about and she was totally into it! but she kept asking about dinosaurs...and i was like listen, we cant help you with that yo.... But we told her to read it and we will come back to see if she has any questions and she said that was okay so im excited to see her again!

Wednesday- we went to house of refuge, then we went out with sister worley and she makes homemade bread and we go out and visit people and we saw tons of miracles! it was awesome! we met a CUTE less active family and they have a 2 week old baby and shes presh....

Thursday- We went to see the akbays. Fevzi just had eye surgery and hes SUPER upset that snuggles their dog died. They printed off a huge canvas pic of that dog and it's hanging it up in the living room lol!

Friday- we got to go to the temple! it was awesome! I flippin love the temple! then we all went to kneaders...we didn't do the french toast challenge this time..i can barely eat half of one..so im no help anyway haha

Saturday- Sister Marbery got botox!! so now we can say my comp got botox and i got a tattoo on my mission! wow were super cool. (I got my eyebrows microbladed a while back-which is pigment- basically a temporary tatoo) 😏

Sunday- we got transfer calls! im staying in TVZ (temple view zone) and im getting a new comp! so well see! maybe when I get my new comp I will have a member send a pic of us on wednesday!...so yeah that's basically my life right now.

Exchanges!!

Thursday- We found out how to fix Sister Marberys migraines! we were in correlation with our ward mission leader in maple wood and he is an oral surgeon and he got randomly certified to do a botox thing in your brain for migraines! He gave her some pills first to see if it would work, and its been helping, so we are going to ask President Wheeler if she can get botox hahah!

Friday- I think we went out a little, then that night we exchanged..it was like a weird 3 way exchange. so i went with our stls, Sister Marbery went with other stls. I dont know it was weird. But it was fun because i got to go back to my greenie area and see all my favorite people! And we got to teach and talk to a lot of people. That was really good for me because I haven't done real missionary work in almost a month!

Saturday- I was still in desert ridge with my homies! Saturdays we usually drop off progress records, so i got to see the Buchholzers and the Chases! it was pretty fun! We got to bike and work our butts off! it was super fun! We taught Nate dogg the restoration! The other day they met him and he was super stoned out of his mind and the were like whats your name? and he said it was nate dogg...d o double g.... so thats that... lol   he wasn't high or anything when we talked to him and he seemed really interested in the gospel, so that was cool to see! then we went to YAS stake conference, and exchanged back. It was a little sad because I was having so much fun! but its okay.

Sunday-We went to another YSA stake conference and one of our wards. It was a good day! (:

everyone pray sister marberys migraines go away! thanks yall!

Attitude determines Altitude!!

Monday- normal pday stuff

Tuesday-Thursday- nothing bc migraines

Friday- we actually got out of the house and went to weekly planning! i have a video that shows what temple view zones weekly planning looks like. We had dinner with a super awkward family and they basically told us they were anti social, and all the family does together was watch anime and play video games. and it was weird bc sister marbery and i sat on the only couch, the 2 boys sat on chairs behind us, and the mom sat on the floor in front of us, and the dad was sleeping somewhere. lol i asked if all of them were anti social and she was like yeahhhh basically..haha awh man that dinner was so funny!

Saturday- My 10 month birthday! Then we had dinner with this newly married couple and their friends and it was SOOOOOO fun! we accidentally stayed for 3 flippin hours. but it was hilarious!

Sunday- went to half of church bc Sister Marberys migraines were killing her. we had another super awkward dinner with an atheist, but he was super chill, but we weren't allowed to share a message after dinner lol. and the family that fed us told us that their son is anti mormon and is leaving the church ): SAD.....

Monday- had zone conference from like 8am to 4pm with Elder Pierson from the 70 and he and his wife are SO SAVAGE! they are so awesome and super motivational! He talked a lot about our attitude and how our happiness is on us. he literally said "oh so you're miserable? go look in the mirror if you want to see the problem." and just a bunch of stuff like that and it was so awesome! i loved every min of it! Im so pumped for missionary work!

Tuesday- District meeting. i was super salty bc elder bassett asked if i could give a 5 min thought on how attitude determines altitude. and i didn't want to do it bc i'm not about that life but i did it anyways and apparently it was really good.   this is what i said.  i said..(in a super pumped up voice)" okay guys, i seriously believe that our habits are what determine our attitude which determine out altitude. so if you have crappy habits, you'll have a crappy attitude, and your altitude will be crappy. So what habits do you have that take you away from the savior, keep you from getting answers to your prayers, keep you from receiving personal revelation, and stop your progression? for example. I have a pride issue... so when I pray and expect the answer I want and I dont get it Im annoyed, when I don't get an answer I want then my altitude is super low bc i'm unmotivated... so pride is my habit, which affected my bad attitude, which determined my altitude. so think about that.    then think of it the opposite way, and think of your good habits that help you with all those things and remember them and make them stronger!
Next thing i want to talk about. did you know someone could drown in 6 inches of water? why are we drowning in 6 inches of water, when all we have to do is stand up?  You can take that in a lot of different ways, but we are talking about attitude. so why are we letting our habits and attitude drown us in 6 inches of water, when all we have to do is stand up???? and im not saying we are all drowning, but there are different levels of drowning. one person is almost dead at the bottom bc they don't care and don't want to help themselves and change.  The next person is floating above the water but their face is till under bc they haven't quite figured out how to turn around and breath, the next person is half way there..half of their face is still under the water bc they haven't gotten to the point where if they just turn a little bit, they would fully be able to breath, and the last person figured out how to stand and conquer his habits and attitude, so his altitude is as high as he makes it. What i want you guys to do is find your good habits and nourish those bad boys and make them big, then get your greasy nasty habits and throw them in the fire and get rid of that mess." then i said did that make sense to yall? and they all nodded with their mouth open. and i said "sweet. in the name of Jesus Christ amen." and i sat back down and they all started freaking out! haha it was hilarious!  and i said more stuff that i forgot lol. But they were like that was the best district meeting ever!! they said they wanted to put it on a t shirt hahaha.

but anyways, thats all for now (:
