RAIN!!!!
y'all, this mission is finally upgrading and we are getting smart phones. Life is going to be 10 X more easier!
Our mission gets to be a trial run for smart phones!!
Our mission gets to be a trial run for smart phones!!
so life is still crazy! we went on exchanges and saw tons of miracles! Sister Allison and I met this guy that was working and we were trying to talk to him and he was NOT havin it, then he finally started to talk to us and he was super salty and saying hes mad at God and God is mad at him, and that hes alone and has no help form God or anyone. it was pretty sad and we were just talking to him and it was like 30 min and it was super hot, and we explained the Book Of Mormon and stuff and he wanted one, then we asked for his address to send missionaries to his house, but he said nah, if this is true, God will send missionaries to my house. So we were like sweet okay, and he said he would text us if missionaries showed up! so everyone pray that missionaries go to Warrens house!!!
Friday was my BIRTHDAY! it was a party! Bishop Hixon and his fam took us out to dinner and made me a chocolate cake! it was super fun! I was a little salty that we had weekly planning on my bday but its all good because the elders sang happy bday and got me ice cream, so that was fun.
Saturday was crazy. We had to bike ALL DAY and it was so hot! i almost passed out like 12 times. But we had a miracle! so we were tracting in the san pravada apartments and we JUST started, and this guy was taking out the trash with his daughter and they passed us a couple times, and we saw them go back in their home, but then they came back out and invited us in and gave us water and snacks and he was SO NICE! He told us that God prompted him to come back and talk to us and offer us water and stuff! and we found out hes been to an LDS church a lot and he has read the whole Book of Mormon and he loves it! Hes super prepared! and he freaked out when he saw sister Ogawa didn't have a water bottle so hes going to buy her a super nice one like a hydro or something! But hes so awesome!
Last night it rained! we were at Fevzi and Marriams apartment when it started and they were freaking out! So we had to bike all the way back to our house which was like 20 min away, and it was super dark and sketchy, but it was SO fun! but 10 min into biking home i ran over something sharp and popped my front tire so we had to walk the rest of the 10 min. y'all can ask my mom what happened next if you really want to know, i'm not about to put that on this email haha! My life sometimes....omg!!!

Miracles.
Guys. I don't even know whats going on. SO. MANY. MIRACLES. Its so much fun being a missionary right now! well, its always fun, but its crazy right now!
So one of the miracles was Kyle! So Kyle was a referral from the Easter Pageant...so we got this referral 3 transfers ago, and we have NEVER met him. so one night we decided to go try him again for the 500th time and we knocked, waited, rang the doorbell, waited, knocked again and no answer ): so we walked ALL the way back to the car (parking over there is weird). and we got in the car and almost drove away, and sister Ogawa saw someone walk outside and she freaked out and was like "OMG THAT'S KYLE!!" so we jumped out of the car and tried to catch him but he didn't see us and he went back inside, and we were like running and we probably looked so dumb but its okay...but we were like crap. and we get to his door and we were like well, lets just ring the doorbell again haha, so then he answered! we FINALLY met Kyle! he was not really wanting to talk to us at first, but we showed him we were normal humans, and he started getting more interested and he has a lot of questions and wants us to come back! We are super excited for him!
Then the other day, we get a call from some elders in the Tempe mission and they gave us a referral for a kid named Zeke and hes super interested and said he wants to get baptized! hes 19 and said now that hes starting his life he wants church to be in his life. His uncle is a bishop somewhere and he has tons of lds friends! so we are super excited to teach him!
Then last night there was a new member fireside at the williamsfield stake center, but we didn't have any investigators to take so we couldn't go, so we went tracting and stuff, then we went to the church building to go do comp study, and the APs called us. And we were like awh crap what did we do this time? So i answer's and was like hey its sister bischoff and elder Aholele said "Sister Bischoff, we have a golden investigator for you" and i was like really? and he was like yep! we are here at the new member fireside and this lady here wants to get baptized and shes in your area! and we were freaking out! and he said and it gets even better...shes black!! hahaah it was funny because all the elders give me crap because they all have had black investigators and i haven't yet. so obviously this is a big deal. lol lol
So this week has been super awesome. I'm confused why we keep having so many miracles because this has never happened on my mission, like its been 2 super awesome weeks! Life is good!

ps. sorry for all the car selfies. Elder Mckown made fun of us for only having 2, so we took a bunch more

super busy and fun week! oh and Caleb!!
so this week has been super awesome and busy!
we have been getting some baby monsoons so that's fun! Nothing really crazy happened this week, we have been trying to find more people to teach, so we have been tracting in the apartments! so we went to the San Pravada ones and we felt like we should tract building 17, and nothing was happening, but we were like its okay....4TH FLOOR LAST DOOR! so we get to the top floor last door and we were like, ok. This door has a golden investigator behind it! so we knocked. waited. rang the door bell. waited. knocked again, and no one answered so we were walking away and someone answered the door, and it was this girl in her 20s and she said she wasn't interested...because she was x-mormon...but she was super nice, and she offered us water and someone in the back was hiding behind the fridge...and we couldn't see him but he held his arms out with water, and they were being super awkward about it...he was definitely naked... so we obviously came at a super bad time haha...idk why they answered the door haha! but basically, that's the way this whole last week has been! its just been super weird.
We taught Caleb in YSA his first lesson and he loved it, and wants us to come back! His lesson was actually one of my favorite lessons my whole mission. Not because we taught good or anything, but this was the first time i could actually see joy, and comfort in someone while they were learning. Seriously, it was so cool. At that moment i just knew why i was on my mission. The Joy and happiness that truly comes from this gospel is unbelievable. We had Torin from the YSA ward come with us and he was SO good for Caleb. He invited Caleb to the ysa activities and to the ward and OMGOSH, i have never seen Caleb so happy! it was awesome. it just made me so happy. Caleb doesn't have a ton of friends so that was super good for him! That was just one of the best moments on my mission. It was cool to literally see someone change and be so happy because of the simple things right in front of you. i was just so happy.
Sooooo, we put Ralph on date...we just felt like we needed to and he said absolutely yes...but we will see, bc we don't know whats actually going on with him. Hes interesting...but the other day he was probably drunk and he was texting us trying to get us to text his wife and see if we can convince her to let him stay at their house and we were like um. no. sorry, that's not our job. we said it nicer tho of course haha. but yeah that's basically our lives.
We only got 900 miles for the month..and we have already used like half of them...so...pray for us that when we bike we don't die or pass out in the middle of the roads like the birds here do haha

miracle week!
sorry if this letter doesn't make since..we just got back from ultimate Frisbee and my brain is dead, because its flippin hot.
So first of all, i LOVE Sister Ogawa! We're homies. So in Japan, people aren't sassy, and she gets kinda scared when people are sassy, and our zone right now has the sassiest people in the mission, so i'm teaching her how to be sassy. Its funny! Ill have to take a video someday because its seriously the funniest thing! But she is so awesome, i swear she is the reason we are seeing all these miracles!
So y'all remember Ralph from last week? welp. Were going to be teaching him. So he was drunk last time, that why he was being all sketchy. But yesterday his mother in law in our ward called us and she said she talked to him and he really does seem like he wants the lessons. She said we can have the lessons at her house! But we are going to ask Bishop to see if hes chill with it.
So the other day we were looking through the area books and we found one from 2011, and we went to go see them and the son Caleb is still super interested! We went to go see them and the dad wasn't really interested, but Caleb came to the front door, hes like 20 now, so he was 14 when he was first being taught! he gave us his number and we set up an appointment with him and we are super excited because he will be in YSA and its SO hard to find YSA (young single adult) investigators.
The biggest miracle is Brian. the reason its the biggest is because we found him by tracting haha! that never happens! But we were tracting in the Highland apartments and he answered and he looked like he was NOT havin' it, but he was super chill! he just got out of the army, and we gave him a Book Of Mormon and a restoration pamphlet and hes super excited to read them! He also said his sister just graduated high school and is living with him and she is looking for a religion and the right path and he wants us to come and teach both of them! We ended up talking to him for like 30 min and it was awesome! So after the 4th of July he wants us to come back!
life is super exciting right now!!
