Druggies..Im over them......

This week has been pretty weird with the new schedule. So on Wednesday we had the world wide missionary conference! it was awesome and our whole schedule changed! well not the WHOLE schedule, but a lot of it! My favorite part is that we don't have to plan at night anymore! i can just come home and get into pajamas and go to bed. its glorious. AND we get extra time in the morning to get ready! we have so much time in the morning now to actually look like a decent human. The sad thing about this new schedule is that we only get 30 minute lunches...so no more half hour nap lol. it's a rough go.

Guys, i seriously cant believe this transfer is basically over...we only have one more week left. and its super sad because Sister Farrer goes home at the end of this transfer . But the good news is, is that she can ask to see the transfer board before transfer day, and she can tell me who my new comp is!

okay so yesterday I literally almost got hit by a car so hard.... In the Santa Rita ward, there is this family in the ward we always go to to get water, and across the street from them is this rented house for druggies. and they are always so crazy and pretty sketch. they just annoy everyone. They are all probably 25 and all they do is smoke, drink, and ride their ratchet motorcycles. so last night we were riding our bikes and we were just leaving a house on that street, and we hear a LOUD noise, and we were like what the heck? and it started getting louder and louder and finally 2 cars were racing each other and turned the corner SO fast and literally almost hit me. #blessings for listening to the spirit and telling me to get on the sidewalk, because we didn't know a second car was coming, and that one totally would have hit me. and then it smelled like burnt rubber. Im just so done with the freaking druggies!

So at Amys Farm this week, all she wanted us to do was watch her baby goat. so...thats what we did. lol...the whole 2 hours. Then Sister Ridd took us to this place called burrito shack and its the best thing ever... that place just screams Arizona. Its like a ghetto little shack with random things everywhere, its my favorite!

So Emily and Patti were sick so we couldn't teach them . we put them on our progress record to give to our ward mission leader, and we haven't talked to him about them, but apparently he told everyone in ward council that they are Jehovah witnesses... so now everyone is asking about it and were like omggg nooooo. we're just confused why he thought that lol. So now there is this random rumor about our new investigators. Gotta clear that up..lol

Kenny is doing awesome, he loves all the lessons! Heidi is doing better now that we are texting her everyday and asking if she read her scriptures. she said she likes when we do it, so there you go. Kenny still wants to be baptized, we are still just waiting for a date that his family can come up to see him!

     I love yall!

2 new Gators!!

This week was awesome! First of all Im super happy we have 2 different weekly services now! So as a zone , every Saturday morning we go to Amy's Farm, and every Wednesdays we go to a kitchen place for homeless people and put boxes of food together!

So we had FHA on Wednesday and it was so fun. Im so happy i have a good zone! (sad day when i have to leave my greenie area and my bomb zone) but our zone is full of straight crazies. we found a napoleon dynamite quote book, and i never laughed so hard..the elders were quoiting it and it was so funny! Then we took ratchet pics.   lol

We taught Kenny on Wednesday the Gospel of Jesus Christ and it was actually a really good lesson. We were proud of ourselves haha. But they love the lessons and it makes me so happy!

Then on Thursday we just did a day exchange, so I was leading out the area with Sister Irvin...aaannnnnddd....it was rough..only because NO ONE would answer their door and let us teach them! I was like wow...just showing my STL how much our area sucks haha, but it was all good because we were tired and it was raining, so we decided to go to Panara because we are both obsessed. Yall. I had to drive that day for the first time in 6 months and I quickly came to realize I forgot how to drive..I parked...and i suck...i wasn't even close to the curb hahah it was so funny! And also that day we painted someones bedroom! it was fun!

So, yesterday was a miracle. There was a new member fireside at 7 by the Gilbert temple and we wanted to go SO bad, but we aren't allowed to go unless we have an investigator to come with, and NO ONE could go...so we were freaking out. So we drove over to a potentials house (Emily) and sat in the car trying to figure out how we could go because this would be Sister Farrers last one. So we decided to pray that Heavenly Father would help us find someone to come with...and we were pushin it because it was 6:15 and it takes like 25 min to get there. so while she was praying, i kept having the feeling we weren't going to be able to go because something better was going to happen for us...but i thought that was just me thinking that. so as she finished praying we look up and their car just pulled up in the drive way...we were super pumped because we never actually have met her because shes always sick or something..ive never even seen her. so we got to talk to them, they let us in, and we invited the to the fireside that was in like 20 min...but they couldn't go...but they started asking us questions about what we believe and what we do on our missions. Emilys daughter was there and she thought we didn't believe in Christmas and that we only go on missions to get married..lol uh no. but they told us they noticed the peace and happiness we had and how we could even have that when the world is so crazy, so we told them that its the gospel. they were SUPER interested, so we asked if we could teach them the lessons and they said yes! they said we can come on Tuesday so we are SO excited to teach them! So it was sad we couldn't go to the new member fireside, BUT we got 2 new gators! in Meridian Pointe! Meridian Pointe NEVER has any investigators!

love and miss yall!

Service at Amys Farm

y'all, my area is just straight crazy! literally everyone runs away from us haha! Like we will be biking down the street and everyone is outside, and right when they see us they just run away! I kind of feel like a hoodrat that everyone is scared of...i don't know but its so funny!

So I think it was Thursday and we just left the house in the morning, and it was finally warm and we were excited to work and talk to people right? so we get on our bikes and bike to Mountain Ranch, and we turn the corner and some sketch guy was standing outside of his sketch Cox truck and yelled "hey are y'all the Mormon missionaries?" so we turn around and bike towards him and stop to talk to him, and all of a sudden we realize hes recording us and bashing us with random questions and he starts to anti us! he literally went on for 20 min, talking about the trinity and random things...SO if y'all see me on YouTube, that's why...

Y'ALL! we went to Amy's farm to do service as a zone and it was SO fun! Little ole Elder Holland from Kanab Utah was sooooo happy to be back on a farm hahah! This fat pig kept coming up to me rubbing his nasty dirty little snout on my leg, and would just lay down and make he rub his tummy...super awkward..lol. Then the lady was like "OMG! do you want to groom my horse???" i was like sure??? so she got her horse out, i had to brush her mane and braid it, but bows in her hair, and paint her hooves sparkly glitter. That poor horse was tortured haha! it was so fun tho!

guys, i'm so sorry I haven't written about any investigators, but  NO ONE is letting us teach them! they keep cancelling and its so annoying! Kenny and Heidi have been out of town for a while, but hes super excited to be baptized! hes not on date yet because he wants his fam from New Mexico to be able to come down! In a couple of days we are going to be teaching them the gospel of Jesus Christ! i LOVE teaching the lessons SO MUCH! even though i feel like i have no idea what im talking about, but seeing these people learn it for the first time is so awesome! they are just so excited!

Oh, so last Monday we went to a less actives house, who's also a recent convert to meet him, and he answered and was freaking out that we came because him and his girlfriend were just talking about us coming over, so then his Girlfriend asked if we could teach her the 3rd lesson. so that was awesome. I asked her if she wanted to be baptized and she said yea, but in Idaho with her daughter. Her daughter just got baptized a couple years ago!

Welp, i love and miss you all!

What a CrAzY week we had!!!! #missionaryliferocks

okay so the zone leaders are dumb and forgot to unlock the doors for us...so they wasted and hour and a half of our emailing time...we are all pretty mad... i probably wont be able to send a big email...i guess ill have to do it next week...😨

okay yall this week was just weird.

First of all, to show how my whole week has been like...i have a story for yall.
So, we are at dinner right? so we are all sitting there, and she is just dishing everyone up, and she gets to me....and...as she was putting it on my plate, mid air, i see a HUGE THICK piece of hair just chillin in the food shes about to give me...no one saw it except me ans Sister Farrer. now y'all, when I see hair in my food its game over, like i wanted to just fall over and die. but I didn't want to hurt anyone's feelings so I had to be slick and pull this hair out when no one was looking, and that was the longest hair ever! it just kept going! literally it was through the whole piece of food. so i prayed for strength to just eat it. Sister Farrer was just sitting next to me dying. she was trying so hard not to throw up. So then we just hurry to get out of there!  We went and drove to the church and laid on the couches because we were in the middle of dying, then we went home so i could throw up...lol

So Sister Anderson has been sick for 4 days straight, and Sister Kilsby has been stuck in the house all this time, so we went on exchanges a couple times so she could get out of the house. So they had a dinner appointment they didn't want to cancel so i went with her and then had to hurry back for my real dinner appointment..so i had to have 2 dinners.  Then last night i went to my church, then i went to church with Sister Kilsby, then they had a lesson, so i went with her to that, but i didn't know it was also a dinner... so this was the second time this week I've had 2 dinners in a row.....but anyways so we get to this house and they are all Chinese, except this random guy. and we were going to be super late because he didn't even start to cook dinner yet! but the thing was, was that no one really could speak English. so we were trying to teach them but they had no idea what was going on...then for dinner we had steak, potatoes, and ribs...so were sitting there at the table and they start passing around plastic gloves...me and sister Kilsby were like uhhhh? and they all put their glove on and just picked up their food...super awkward...i didn't even know what was going on!!  so i was finally like soooo we need to go now... so we hurried so i could get to my next dinner. Ugh the struggle!!  LOL

So then me and sister Kilsby went to go drop off cookies. we ding dong ditched the first people-  then we drop off some cookies to this grumpy old man. he was not havin it with us..he didn't want chocolate chip cookies, he wanted oatmeal raisin...then we talked to him about random things and he thought it was hilarious i was from Alabama. so we were trying to leave and the door would not open...like the door was unlocked and everything, and it just would not open..and let me remind you, this old man was creepy and grumpy, so we thought he was holding us hostage or something..Ha!!!  it was sketchy.

okay, so i was going to talk about investigators but the dumb elders came in and they are trying to take over the place... Lol   so i guess i gotta go.
Stay tuned next week.......

love and miss y'all!

A DANG bird pooped on me... WHAT????

so this week seriously went by so fast i have no idea what happened...
work has been pretty slow. Everyone has just been gone for Christmas and New Years! But it has been fun to get to know our new zone! we only got a few changes but its SO fun! we are all crazy and friends so its pretty fun!

For New Years we had to be in at 6, so the zone went to the church and played apples to apples and watched the Cokeville Miracle! Then we went home lol.

So this week has been pretty slow because we are all taking turns being sick...so we just watch the super old church movies...like the OLD family home evening videos, or On My Way Home, or John Taylor, and the Restoration! Its been fun tho!

So Kenny and Heidi refuse to be taught by their actual missionaries...they literally live in a different mission, so technically we aren't their missionaries, but they weren't havin it, so we are just going to teach them and hopefully get boundary exceptions haha. They're awesome!

We finally got to teach Jim again, he has been sick for a while so that was good!

Oh so a freaking bird pooped on me! so mad...we were at lunch outside on Our Pday and i wasnt havin it because i was trying to go home to sleep and i guess Heavenly Father would think it would be funny for a bird to poop on my shoulder and hand to make me stop being salty..i don't know y'all. the struggle. 😆

    i love and miss yall!
