Gods hand in all things

Jims baptism was so awesome! he was just so happy! the only thing now we have to work on with his, is that he needs to pray! he thinks its SO weird to pray out loud! we ask him to pray every time and he just wont do it! we even told him how to pray and what he can say and hes not havin it! we'll get him there!
so funny story...well me and Sister Farrer think its funny! so for exercise in the morning we go walking around the neighborhood. so we were doing the usual walking around telling eachother our dumb dreams and we get to a corner and right when we get there the garbage truck pulls around the corner and we look at each other and scream WE FORGOT TRASH DAY!!!! so we turn around and just bust it trying to run as fast as we can!! and we looked super ghetto because we were in sweats and hoodies with the hood over our heads and were just running! and the truck is right on our tail the whole time! we felt like we were running for ever! we didnt think we walked that far but apparently we did..so we were running for like 5 min straight! and we finally get to our house and the trash dude sits there and waits for us so we can bring out the trash, so obviously he knew thats why we were running...were pretty sure he was laughing at us. it was hilarious.. we told it in funny moments during zone meeting and they didn't appreciate it so i hope y'all do. 😊
okay so our dumb 2017 Chevy Malibu AC doesn't work so on Friday we had to go get it fixed...in Queen Creek... we were there for FOUR HOURS!! we had to be at my last New Missionary Meeting for the whole mission at 1 and we were going to be soooooo late! we were so confused on why it was taking so long..but we figured it out. God needed us to be there at that time! while we were just chillin one of the workers came up to us (hes prob 20 something) and said hey missionaries! and told us hes a convert and hes putting his papers in soon to go on a mission! then he said his friend that works here should talk to us! so he brought him over and he was super interested and we gave him a Book of Mormon and he was so excited! then the kid who is going on a mission soon asked if i was at the Gladys Knight Concert and i said yeah and he was like yeah i think i talked to you there! and i was like ohhh snap you're right! ...his dad was the one that was there and was talking to me forever then made me wait so i can meet his son..which was the kid i was talking to... and all the other missionaries thought he was trying to hook me up with him.. but the weird thing was that when i saw them at Gladys Knight i had a feeling i would see them again...super weird! any ways, moral of the story is that we had a sweet lesson in the middle of Auto Nation...
So teaching Jason (our 9 year old) is SO hard because the other little boy Ashton wants to learn SO bad, but hes a little smarter than Jason in the Gospel so Jason gets so salty and the lessons just suck because Jason doesn't want to do it anymore..But Ashton isn't adopted yet so we cant baptize him. so i asked the dad if we can just teach them separately and just not baptize Ashton until he is adopted. so we are starting that out this week and hopefully the lessons will be better! i LOVE these kids though.seriously they have me heart! they love when we come over and always make us help with their homework haha!
OHHH MY GOSH. i have to have a part in our mission choir concert! i made sure to choose the shortest one haha! i already have it memorized but pray i wont mess it up because i'm not about that life. i have the part before we sing the song "see the star" i think that's what its called..
but here's my part:  "far to the east, others were surprised as well not to hear the angels song but to see a star. never before has this one shone. a King was born and they went to take him gifts and kneel before them there. to Jerusalem they came. not sure exactly where to find the new born babe. they asked if any knew about His birth. But then again they saw the star and found their way." the song is SO beautiful! i'm excited!
we are so excited to be working the Mesa Temple Lights! last Friday night we were there and it was so fun! some dude in a helmet and scratched up face came up to me and started mumbling and it was super awk...so i was like huh? and he was like help me find my light to my bike and i was like sorry bro i cant help yah but ill tell you if someone found it,then he left and was freaking everyone out...then we met a couple and they were super fresh out of their mission and they told us they met on their mission and i didn't mean to do this out loud but i was like "ahhhhhhhhhhh! no that's not supposed to happen!" (because gross! elders and sisters? NO!) then Sister Kilsby told me that's why she loves me haha.

Today before emailing we went to Schnef Farms..it was so fun! we rode roller coasters and they fed us pizza! i have no idea why we went..but it was worth it! i took pics for y'all! the people that own it are LDS so we got in free and it was only open for us and no one else lol!
well i have been having so much fun this transfer! getting lost while on our bikes..and falling off our bikes because we are laughing so hard. omg there is a guy here at the library just laughing his head off...he cant control it..hes just sitting in front of a computer just losing it.its hilarious. its just a bunch of missionaries and him in here! okay but i love and miss y'all!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!

okay guys. is so ridiculous how fun im having this transfer..and its only been like 5 days. My new companion is so funny! and the other sisters that live with us are SO FUN! the very first day of the transfer we were like "Christmas?... YES!" so we decorated the house and put up our Christmas tree. today we are even taking family Christmas pictures. were no joke.

just a heads up, we have A LOT of plans that will probably take up this whole transfer..so you might not get as much letters from me because i actually have homies to talk to and go do things with! but i still will try and write letters!!

guess what! this transfer we basically get to be visitor center missionaries at the Mesa Temple!!! we get to be there while they do the Mesa Temple Lights!!! and it starts the day after Thanksgiving and they said we get to go at least once a week! WE ARE SO PUMPED! its crazy because we are with the other sisters we live with like 24/7 so its weird when we split up because it feels like we are all companions together haha! its so fun!   #quadsquad

so on Saturday we all had to wake up super early and go to Higley High to do service for a thing called Shun the Sun for skin cancer..they were doing a 5k and a 10k and it was SO COLD! it was probably only like 70 degrees..Arizona has turned me into a wimp..but anyways..they were telling us crazy directions and we got lost and we were pretty sure we were out of the mission and we were freakng out, and we got stuck at this little place in i think down town Gilbert..and it looked like a mini Las Vegas strip! so we decided to go in the cute little shops because why not?
it feels like we have been with eachother for years but it has only been 5 days haha its so weird!

Jim is excited to get baptized! Im kind of stressed because im in charge of the phone and brother Underwood our mission leader in the Santa Rita ward is blowing up our phone about his baptism and im like ohhh my goshhhh!!! Im giving a short talk on the Holy Ghost...hopefully ill do good! i ain't sweatin tho...i'm a missionary so i cant do anything wrong right?   hahaha!

i love our areas...people love us and we love them! and the thing is with Sister Farrer is that i feel like i can actually be myself around her so now the members actually hear me talk and be myself and now Im just friends with all the members and its so fun! like all the people i was awkward with, like Bishop Standage, we're homies now. i really feel like our areas are going to be poppin now with potentials and investigators! its pretty exciting! i feel like a real missionary haha! i was talking to sister Anderson and she was telling me this is what it really feels like to be on a mission..fun comps and roomies...I had no idea, because the last couple transfers, that's what I thought my whole mission was going to be like...so Im glad things are better!

well Im just so excited for this transfer! we all want to stay this way for a while! at least one more transfer!

love and miss yall!

TRANSFER CALLS.......

So this week went by SO fast! but I wish y'all could have been a fly on the wall when we got our transfer calls....so a little bit of background...sister Gasu has been in this area for almost 7 or 8 months and this next transfer is her last transfer. Sister Sprouse has been in this area for almost the same amount. I have only been here 3 months, and sister Anderson just got transferred here last transfer. so everybody and their moms prediction was that I was leaving because that would be messed up if Sister Gasu only has like 6 weeks left and had to leave for her last transfer, and that sisters Sprouse and Anderson would stay together... so all the other sisters were texting us telling us about their calls and we were getting super nervous because we didn't get ours yet! so we were freaking out texting the zone leaders, and finally Elder Wilcox called and said "the people leaving are Sister Sprouse and Sister Gasu." we all just kind of sat there with our jaws dropped...then Sister Gasu starts bawling and I just want to puke because that means I have to lead out the area! and I don't even know what the other sisters were doing..but it was kind of funny/sad because sister Gasu was in the middle of brushing her teeth while she was crying! I actually pretty excited to stay because this transfer has Thanksgiving and Christmas together!

So I'm glad Jim came to church yesterday. This was his first time coming...he already has a baptism date, but you cant be baptized if you haven't been to church at least twice... so Sister Gasu was in another ward, and I was in the ward Jim goes to and it was AWESOME because everyone was talking to him and making him feel comfortable. I think everyone was talking to him because the knew he was an investigator...you want to know why they all knew he wan an investigator?! because he came to church in black jeans, those old man white new balance shoes and a bright orange Hawaiian shirt. it was the best thing Iv ever seen! so during the whole sacrament meeting I was helping him figuring out what was going on..he was nervous to take the sacrament but he did good haha! he has this thing where he thinks its SUPER weird that we have people pray out loud...so hes still trying to get used to that! but I think he liked it! The Santa Rita ward is good, but OH my goodness the kids are SO loud there! usually I'm used to it, but for some reason when you are with your investigator you notice everything that might go wrong! so I hope he didn't mind that...

So we are also teaching Jason our 9 year old! he is so excited to be baptized! so we had dinner with them on Wednesday and for the dinner message we just taught him the Plan Of Salvation.....but it didn't go so well because the other kids living there want to be baptized too but they aren't adopted yet like Jason and his sis, so we aren't really allowed to "teach" them...but they participated anyway and Jason was getting super sad because the other boy (ashton) is pretty smart and was answering all the questions. but oh my gosh Ashton has my heart! he is SO adorable!! and after dinner the 2 boys sang us primary songs and I have them recorded! I also have a pic of all of them that ill put on here, but it cant go on facebook or anywhere because Ashton and his sister aren't adopted yet and apparently their mom is trying to find them? I have no idea...anyways, I hope they adopt the other kiddos so they can be baptized too!

so we do this thing that Brother Buchholzer kind of made up called Operation Feed My Sheep every Thursday night and we go out with different people like YW president or primary president or YM president and they choose like 5 people to go and visit who haven't been to church in a while. so we went out with brother Moulten...the first person we went to see is this crazy family...the wife is less active but soooo sweet and funny and her husband has left the church and has been excommunicated... so we went really to go visit the husband...it was pretty interesting. Brother Moulten asked a pretty bold question if he was coming back to the church or not...and the husband just went off! we were being antied! this was my first time! he was going off about how demons did this and that and how our faith was corrupted and how you cant have faith without facts (which doesn't even make sense because having faith means you don't need facts) and he was getting super worked up...like his veins were poppin! and he was saying stuff like ohhhhhhh you do not want to go into this because I know more than you! hahah it was crazy! he said he loves Mormons but not our beliefs. and he has read the Book of Mormon like 30 times... but it was a crazy experience!

welp. I'm excited to see how this transfer will be..i wish I payed more attention to where people live, but lets be honest, everyone who knows me knows I get lost in point
With Sister Moses at Bahama Bucks

Elder Cornish visited this week....sorry for the late pday

JIM IS GETTING BAPTIZED ON JAYMZ BIRTHDAY! were so excited for him and hes so excited too! honestly when teaching the lessons to him, its not even like we are teaching, we are just reminding him of what he already knows! hes pretty awesome! i might be transferred before he gets baptized though! transfer calls are Sunday night! i REALLY hope i get transferred! i need change SO bad haha!  and this next transfer will be over thanksgiving and Christmas! so i hope it will be fun! i really want to go to Queen Creek or Florence! we'll see!

so we got a new car! the mission only got like 5 new cars and only the best and clean missionaries get a new car! AND WE GOT ONE! its a 2017 Chevy Malibu...its soooo nice! but for some dumb reason we cant figure out the AC...hahah its too high tech for us!! or maybe it just doesn't work i don't know!!

its weird i havent emailed since Halloween! that was a long time ago!! they cut our p day short :(
but us and the Higley zone went to a church and played games and watched Ephraims Rescue! it was pretty good! then we just went home so it was just a weird p day!

So Elder Cornish came to our mission! that's why we didn't have p day on Monday because he was here Monday and Tuesday. honestly, everyone was pretty salty because he messed up our pday but then he had a REALLY good talk and we all felt bad... but he was talking to us about working with members and gaining their trust...like, members may love you, but they still might not trust you to teach their friends or something.. we need to help members realize that missionary work is SO hard without the members willing to help us! it was really good, and his wife is super cute!

on of our super awesome members Sister Anderson in the Meridian Pointe ward made me and Sister Gasu companionship shirts! they are so cute... it says bless this mess...because seriously...bless this mess..but we finally took pictures in them! Sister Gasu wanted to do the ones where we are being super fake and pretending to laugh so we look like we are having fun, but i suck at those haha! but ill put the pictures on the email! and we are both wearing Adidas pants..so we really were twinning!

i cant believe its been 3 months..in another quick 3 months ill have a year left on my mission! thats crazy town to me! i remember when i got here on Aug. 23 and i thought i would NEVER make it to Halloween! and it already passed! then Christmas is coming up so soon too!

well sorry nothing that interesting happened this wee to email about! its been a pretty boring week!
love and miss yall!
