So this week went by SO fast! but I wish y'all could have been a fly on the wall when we got our transfer calls....so a little bit of background...sister Gasu has been in this area for almost 7 or 8 months and this next transfer is her last transfer. Sister Sprouse has been in this area for almost the same amount. I have only been here 3 months, and sister Anderson just got transferred here last transfer. so everybody and their moms prediction was that I was leaving because that would be messed up if Sister Gasu only has like 6 weeks left and had to leave for her last transfer, and that sisters Sprouse and Anderson would stay together... so all the other sisters were texting us telling us about their calls and we were getting super nervous because we didn't get ours yet! so we were freaking out texting the zone leaders, and finally Elder Wilcox called and said "the people leaving are Sister Sprouse and Sister Gasu." we all just kind of sat there with our jaws dropped...then Sister Gasu starts bawling and I just want to puke because that means I have to lead out the area! and I don't even know what the other sisters were doing..but it was kind of funny/sad because sister Gasu was in the middle of brushing her teeth while she was crying! I actually pretty excited to stay because this transfer has Thanksgiving and Christmas together!
So I'm glad Jim came to church yesterday. This was his first time coming...he already has a baptism date, but you cant be baptized if you haven't been to church at least twice... so Sister Gasu was in another ward, and I was in the ward Jim goes to and it was AWESOME because everyone was talking to him and making him feel comfortable. I think everyone was talking to him because the knew he was an investigator...you want to know why they all knew he wan an investigator?! because he came to church in black jeans, those old man white new balance shoes and a bright orange Hawaiian shirt. it was the best thing Iv ever seen! so during the whole sacrament meeting I was helping him figuring out what was going on..he was nervous to take the sacrament but he did good haha! he has this thing where he thinks its SUPER weird that we have people pray out loud...so hes still trying to get used to that! but I think he liked it! The Santa Rita ward is good, but OH my goodness the kids are SO loud there! usually I'm used to it, but for some reason when you are with your investigator you notice everything that might go wrong! so I hope he didn't mind that...
So we are also teaching Jason our 9 year old! he is so excited to be baptized! so we had dinner with them on Wednesday and for the dinner message we just taught him the Plan Of Salvation.....but it didn't go so well because the other kids living there want to be baptized too but they aren't adopted yet like Jason and his sis, so we aren't really allowed to "teach" them...but they participated anyway and Jason was getting super sad because the other boy (ashton) is pretty smart and was answering all the questions. but oh my gosh Ashton has my heart! he is SO adorable!! and after dinner the 2 boys sang us primary songs and I have them recorded! I also have a pic of all of them that ill put on here, but it cant go on facebook or anywhere because Ashton and his sister aren't adopted yet and apparently their mom is trying to find them? I have no idea...anyways, I hope they adopt the other kiddos so they can be baptized too!
so we do this thing that Brother Buchholzer kind of made up called Operation Feed My Sheep every Thursday night and we go out with different people like YW president or primary president or YM president and they choose like 5 people to go and visit who haven't been to church in a while. so we went out with brother Moulten...the first person we went to see is this crazy family...the wife is less active but soooo sweet and funny and her husband has left the church and has been excommunicated... so we went really to go visit the husband...it was pretty interesting. Brother Moulten asked a pretty bold question if he was coming back to the church or not...and the husband just went off! we were being antied! this was my first time! he was going off about how demons did this and that and how our faith was corrupted and how you cant have faith without facts (which doesn't even make sense because having faith means you don't need facts) and he was getting super worked up...like his veins were poppin! and he was saying stuff like ohhhhhhh you do not want to go into this because I know more than you! hahah it was crazy! he said he loves Mormons but not our beliefs. and he has read the Book of Mormon like 30 times... but it was a crazy experience!
welp. I'm excited to see how this transfer will be..i wish I payed more attention to where people live, but lets be honest, everyone who knows me knows I get lost in point
