apparently because i've been out 6 months i'm not allowed to talk...

Welp...... This week has just been... ehhh. I guess it was a weird week because it was transfer week. But Im excited because i have a good companion! She's actually waiting for her visa to go to Trinidad, so she will probably be leaving at the end of this transfer. Its pretty fun training. I never really wanted to ever be senior companion because that's more work haha but its fun! AND I get to drive the Malibu...so that's a plus.

Our new zone is good, we are ALL pretty savage and sassy so its funny! Our new district leader is elder gleave! he was in D Ridge when i first got here, and now hes back and hes a district leader now! hes been out one transfer ahead of me. But we are homies, so district calls are wayyy more fun! Its just sooo good to have a unified zone!

So on Saturday morning we were biking to Bishops house to drop off a progress record, and we saw this lady biking with her 2 grand kids, and we stopped to talk to her, and she was telling us how shes a catholic and she kept asking questions that made absolutely no sense, and she asked how long we have been out, so i was like 6 months and Sister Sperry said 1 and a half months, so after she found out how long we have been out, the lady WOULD NOT LET ME TALK. it was so annoying! she just kept bashing Sister Sperry with weird questions, and finally I tried to help her out, and the lady just looked at me, put her hand up, said stop talking,...She looked over at Sister Sperry and just bashed her again...i was like whaaaaatttt the heckkkkkk is going on! it was sooo funny! so finally she was done and let us go, she told us she loved us both and to have a good day.  ðŸ˜Š

We had a lesson with one of our investigators and taught follow the prophet, 10 commandments, and the word of wisdom. so as we were teaching the word of wisdom, he was looking down at the pamphlet and his wife mouthed "he chews tobacco" and he didn't see her do that, so he has no idea we know, so it was really awkward haha. but next lesson we have to address that. BUT he's on date for March 11th! So we are really excited for him!

We have a new Potential in Mountain Ranch! we tracted into her, we told her about church and she thought only Mormons were allowed to go, so she was pretty excited she could go! then we told her about the Book of Mormon and she has one from other missionaries, but she wouldn't read it, because in the Bible it doesn't say anything about other records from the ancient Americas, but i shared Moroni's promise with her and invited her to read the Book of Mormon and she said she would! She really liked Moroni's promise (Moroni 10 3-5)
Behold, I would exhort you that when ye shall read these things, if it be wisdom in God that ye should read them, that ye would remember how merciful the Lord hath been unto the children of men, from the creation of Adam even down until the time that ye shall receive these things, and ponder it in your hearts.
And when ye shall receive these things, I would exhort you that ye would ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ, if these things are not true; and if ye shall ask with a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in Christ, he will manifest the truth of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost.
And by the power of the Holy Ghost ye may know the truth of all things.
So we are super excited to meet with her again!

Guys, this church is SO true! Having this opportunity to dedicate 18 months of my life to serve the Lord has helped me come closer to Christ and strengthen my testimony! When I think back when I didn't want to serve a mission I get so sad because I wouldn't have this experience to grow more in the gospel. My priorities are way more straight. I guess life really isn't all about Netflix and pizza.
